I had occasion to see the film The Apprentice, and I can tell you from an artistic perspective, it is an excellent cinematic film. I encourage everyone to go see it, if strictly for the sake of seeing a great movie. The subject matter was well-researched and presented in an objective light that neither humanizes nor demonizes Trump, but rather, allows his life and actions to speak for themselves. You, the viewer, decide.
I can only surmise there is not a better turnout of the film because Trump’s team has gone into overdrive behind-the-scenes to silence what they perceive is a political liability. Frankly, the story does not inform anyone (who does not already know the details of Trump’s sordid life) of anything that is not common (public) knowledge.
Granted, people do have quite a short-term memory. How quickly do we forget. I must admit, I do find it one of the more perplexing facets of today, that any self-professed, Jesus loving, I am saved Christian would support Trump. On the other hand, people given to conspiracy theories and superstition are his particular brand of exploit.
It may be that after watching the film, those who do not already know his biography will certainly vote against him. Trump is truly beyond redemption. As for me, the film only affirmed my own conclusions and research from 2019. The film is consistent in terms of fact-finding. Ultimately, one walks away knowing that Trump is not a good human being, his glaring character deficiencies on full display. Trump is evil, and he only cared then as now, about amassing great wealth and power at everyone’s expense.
I hope more people take time to go and see the film. I have always loved biographies and learning about people. What makes people the way they are? The answer to this, is that it is always a mix of things, really, coupled with whether or not a person has a good character and integrity. Of one thing one can be certain, Trump has neither.
